Dollar Short is a in your face 90's post punk, grunge explosion!!! Their main sound is a dirty, distorted mess of chords but with a melodic grunge twist with such influences like mudhoney,nirvana,seether,pearl jam etc. They play all their own stuff at the moment, they have thought about doing a few covers but not yet put it into practice. Dollar Short are a band that have gone from strength to strength over the past 2 years. Oli and mattt started playing as drums and guitar in 2005, switching from a studio in dereham to earth studios in Norwich, they found it hard to find a bassists. A stroke of luck came when mattt got in contact with a old friend on christmas 2006 that he had met over the net a few years ago who also shared his love for grunge music. Gaz came down in january and fitted the sound perfectly. Within 2 months of gaz joining they had already succesfully recorded a 4 track demo entitled "bob's not your uncle" at mill studios and played their first gig two days after the recording!!!!! They've played with many bands including Six degrees of separation at the Queen Charlotte Pub in Norwich. They love what they do, it may not be your thing, oli's drumming sex face, gaz's drinking or mattts stage rolling but your sure to have a great experience with the Dollar Short boys!!!!!!! WATCH THIS SPACE!!!!!!
